Side-Channel Analysis at MAIS: The Life Before and During CROSSING


During the several past years expertise on side-channel analysis has 
been accumulating at MAIS, which has led last year to a successful 
acquisition of the Project "Secure Refinement of Cryptographic 
Algorithms" within the Collaborative Research Center "CROSSING".

In the first half of the talk we recap major achievements on 
side-channel analysis at MAIS before the start of CROSSING. In the 
second half of the talk we present the vision, goals, challenges and 
structure of our CROSSING project.
