Network Security (Seminar, Winter Term 05/06)

Description This seminar will cover the area of network security, including topics such as

• cryptography for confidentiality and authentication
• electronic-mail security
• IP security
• web security
• network management security
• firewalls

We will jointly read a good text book on network security. At each meeting one or two chapters will be presented by one participant. We will jointly discuss the topic of the chapter. It is expected that each participant reads the relevant chapter before the meeting.

This seminar is open to diploma students, master students, and PhD students.
